About us
The Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers UK was founded in 2004 in response to a growing nationwide interest in clutter-free living. Our founders recognised that it was difficult for people to know where to find decluttering help, and that professionals in the decluttering and organising industry needed their own UK association.
As our network has grown, and the organising industry develops its services and skills, apdo-uk continues to work on behalf of our members to raise awareness, provide resources and advice, and advertise on their behalf.
Our aims
Apdo-uk aims to:
- make it easy for people throughout the UK to find a professional organiser
- promote the benefits of a clutter-free, organised lifestyle
- provide a focal point for our members and offer them support to develop and grow their businesses

Our profession

Our organisation
apdo-uk is a not-for-profit Association, funded entirely by membership fees and income generated via our website (such as advertising for related industries), and much work is performed on a voluntary basis.
Details of our current management team (all of whom are members of apdo-uk, and professional organisers themselves), together with acknowledgements of personnel who have contributed to our development since 2004, can be found by clicking here.
Finally, we would also like to acknowledge the work of George Brocklehurst in creating our website and logo in its current incarnation (January 2010).
